The steel catwalk stretches forward, its rigid lines converging toward a single, glowing point. The Sturgeon Bay North Pier, usually anchored in familiarity, now feels like a passage to somewhere else—its lighthouse erased by the fog, its destination uncertain. Instead of the guiding beam of the North Pier Light, the sun itself breaks through the mist at the horizon, a soft but undeniable presence beyond the structure. The pier remains solid beneath your feet, yet the world ahead seems to dissolve.
A trick of the eye or a journey into the unknown? The repeating forms of the catwalk create an illusion of endlessness, a narrowing tunnel of iron and shadow that draws the viewer forward. The webbed lace of industrious spiders clings to the beams, delicate yet enduring against time and weather. The atmosphere is both eerie and inviting—an invitation to step forward, to trust the path, even if the end remains unseen.
All prints are of museum quality and printed in The USA. Canvas Prints are wrapped around a hardwood frame to prevent long-term wrapping and utilize a 0.75" thick wrap. Metal Prints are glossy, vibrant, and of course are ready to hang. These prints make a statement and bring Door County home to your wall.
